Site update

If you read this then you probably have noticed we upgraded the site and gave it a fresh new look. Well, the look-and-feel is actually only the surface since a lot more has happened underneath like:

• working out an automated building, documentation compilation and setup compilation pipeline. This topic is worth on its own a chapter.
• moving to another host in order to support RIA Services and thus enabling our customers to see their projects ‘live’
• working out a new vision and business strategy and, to use a big word, an enterprise vision
• moving our codebase closer to Net4 and the Visual Studio 2010 wave;
• harmonizing the Orbifold brand with our business cards, product brochure, Net4 style etc.
• rethinking prices and offerings
• staying uptodate and learning all things NEt4, including F# and the huge wave of new Microsoft releases
• integrating our Silverlight line of products; using S# across different products, using iSee for animations…
• last but not least; incorporating feedback from customers and the things which were not clear enough in the previous site

We worked hard to make this site perfect but as it goes…the devil is in the details and time is a luxury for a small company. See however, our great Silverlight demo’s and fancy animation widgets:

• the new version of iSee is online
• a sample mindmapping application (not a product, just a showcase)
• our award-winning L2 demo
• Crystalizer 2 demo with the latest RIA Services backend
• our revamped S# page with more extensive documentation
• our widget on the sales page
• the Lab where you’ll find diverse business and toy projects

We hope these demo’s and widgets give you a taste of what kind of projects we work on (and which we unfortunately cannot demo due to NDA’s) as well as what we could do for you!

This new site also marks the shift from The Orbifold before it was a company with limited liability. A lot has changed in the past year and we had to revamp the whole site;

• a lot of older stuff was dropped: everything WinForm and pre-Silverlight
• good old Netron has now completely disappeared from this site (same for Lithium and other small WinForm projects). If you really want to fetch the Netron code, please send us a note but it would be a shame to invest in WinForm while there is so much fun out there with WPF & Silverlight!
• personal blog items were removed
• old downloads and pictures are gone

Last but not least. We are proud to have a Technology Partnership with Telerik! At this point all brownies go to Vassil Terziev for his talent as an amazing CEO, a great human being and an all-round fun person to do business with.
